Location, Location, Location! JCOM at Night! (Photos) 05/07/2010

Another great find by the folks at www.barsoomia.org :)

Man, talk about location, location, location!
It really is all about location! What I wouldn't give to have this incredible view looking out my window. A local Realtor has posted photos on her website of what she sees off her porch most every night...

She writes on her website:

These were taken from my porch - night shooting on John Carter of Mars, the Disney Pixar film. It is eerie to see this most every night!

Here are some day photos of the moon area they are shooting at

From the best we can tell, the light seems to be on a small model of perhaps a city? If it is a city, which could it be?

Maybe the twin cities of Helium? Perhaps a Thernian stronghold? Who knows... we're pretty sure it's not Zodanga (see here), so that only leaves about 50 odd other cities it could be (abandonded and otherwise) mentioned in the books :)

Also on the left (click the image to see full width photo) is that odd rock protrusion, which looks alot like the one on (this page).

If we find out more, we'll be sure and tease you with it.. stay tuned! :)

This is just too cool!
A friend of Jeff's over at www.barsoomia.org has mad sock puppet making skills! From what we hear, a Woola is in the works as well!

RARE DISNEY MARS & BEYOND ANIMATED SERIES

What the?!?! Yeah, that's what I said too when I saw this... this is a Banth from Disney's 1957 space series, Mars and Beyond. Click the photo above to view the clip.

This hysterically funny video mentions Barsoom in pretty good detail at around 2:44 in the timeline. Check it out!
