| More Photos from the Set at Lake Powell, UT! |
05/02/2010 |

| | This just in... we've got eight more photos to show you that seem to show alot, yet really nothing at all :) Infuriating isn't it? Apparently, the photographer was about 1/2-1 mile from set with a killer zoom lense. Oh well, when the movie premiers in 2012 at least you'll be able to say... OH! OH! I SAW THAT ROCK on the Unofficial Fansite two years ago... and if you can do that, you've got a better memory than me :)
So, lets see here... we've got two more photos of the "stonehenge" thing... I particularly like the one with the port-o-potty. However, I don't know how you'd get a Thark into one of those. We've got a really weird structure with a piece of heavy machinery in the background, and an assortment of gorgeous Utah/Mars landscapes. Lastly, the ubiguitous cargo containers holding up massive green screens... apparently, behind them is the Warhoon? Fighting Arena.. (read the info that came with these photos below):
Stonehenge thing is building made from wood and foam that was shot onto outside then formed. They are filming at the lake also using some log rafts for something. Seen a 4 wheeler with a saddle mounted about 10ft in air they must be going to cg some animal under it. They have taken over Big Water. Rented about 10 buildings for special ef and storing props. The monkey arena is made from containers that are stacked and a green screen hung from tops.
Enjoy!

RARE DISNEY MARS & BEYOND ANIMATED SERIES

What the?!?! Yeah, that's what I said too when I saw this... this is a Banth from Disney's 1957 space series, Mars and Beyond. Click the photo above to view the clip.
This hysterically funny video mentions Barsoom in pretty good detail at around 2:44 in the timeline. Check it out!
